Best 100% cotton yarn to crochet & knit garments with?

Looking for brand names of the best 100% cotton yarn for sweater, hat, & scarf making. I’ve been using Sugar n’ Cream, which is nice, but wondering if there’s better stuff out there for crochetting and knitting garments.

Brown Sheep’s Cotton Fleece is a very nice, worsted weight cotton yarn for sweaters and it holds its color when washed, it’s also reasonably priced. Takhi’s Cotton Classic is a DK weight, mercerized cotton, but it runs on the more expensive side, but it is gorgeous stuff to knit with. Mission Falls has a nice cotton yarn, also expensive, though, as is Manos’ Cotton Stria.

Sugar ‘n Cream can be a bit stiff in the wearing in tighter gauges, Peaches ‘n Cream is just a bit lighter and less so. Lion Cotton is pretty decent, too.
