How do you do a HDC2TOG?

Im crocheting a hat and Im at the part where you start to decrease, I need some step by step instructions on how to do a HDC2TOG please!!!!!!

Basically, you’re making 1 hdc partway but keeping it on your hook, then making a second partway, then finishing the two partial stitches as though they were one.
Step by step, US ‘hdc’: yarn over twice, pull up loop in next stitch (1st partial stitch), yarn over twice, pull up a loop in next stitch (2nd partial stitch) {you should have 6 loops}, yarn over and pull through all loops.
