crochet tops
I need help for crochet top.?

can anyone help me to explain these.
I undertand the abbreviation and all that. that’s not my problem. where did they get the 35 sc, I got 27 sc. and then the rest of the instructions.
I’m trying to make a top for a kid .
I have a half of circle.
starting in the left corner.

this is my problem:
working in the ends of rows,ch 1, work 2 scs around the post of the next 6 rows,sc in the next 3 chs,(mark the 1st of these 3sc), 2 sc around the post of the next 6 rows (35 scs), sc in each dc around half circle, join to 1st sc,

There is a problem with the pattern but without the pattern it’s hard for me to tell what. Just looking at the directions you’ve put here, I come up with 27 as well. If you have already, I recommend signing up at ravelry.com and looking for your specific pattern there to see if someone has already commented any errata to the pattern.
