hey there, i need help … i dont understand how to knit…?

i dont understand how to begin the scarf im trying to make… i have black wool, and two 5.0 mm knitting needles… i understand how to do a slip-knot, but i cannot for the life of me understand how to cast on… please HELP me!!!
