knitting patterns socks toe up
knitting pattern-high sock to fit over cast?

I broke my ankle and my toes are cold so i need a pattern for a sock hat is really big that will fit over my cast does anyone have any idea as to where i can find one. if not any ideas on how i can warm up my toes?

Take a sock weight yarn pattern that you like and make it using worsted weight yarn and size 8 (US) needles. I did this for a friend a number of years ago, in orange wool (her knickname is Duck) and she was kidded about being a traffic cone. I understand she now uses it for a Halloween decoration. Otherwise if you only want to keep your toes covered, you can measure around the cast at the toes , swatch to figure out the number of stitches per inc, cast that on to double points and knit a couple of inches of ribbing to hug the cast and then switch to stockinette for about 10 rounds and decrease as for any other sock toe.
